Lex M c Kee has been in the business of training and entertainment since 1982. As a trainer, Lex is a World Leading proponent of Accelerated Learning and of the application of Mind Mapping, Speed Reading and Memory skills in Business. Specialist Business applications include Strategic Leadership, Organisational Excellence, Influencing and Creative Innovation. As an entertainer, he creates CDs that enhance empowering states-of-mind, whether for relaxation, or for accelerated learning applications... something he calls 'music on purpose'. Fusing the fields of training and entertainment together, Lex believes in the importance of 'Entertrainment®' - making serious learning an enjoyable and engaging process. Naturally successful learning stimulates both Emotional Intelligence and our long-term memory, which are connected in the very heart of our mind. Entertrainment® makes both sound neurological and sound financial sense since it rapidly engages long-term commitment, and promotes sustainable change.

There have been a lot of changes over the years since 1982! Lex describes himself nowadays as 'an Organisational Ecologist' - realising that both learning and leadership need to be developed within the ecosystem of the community within which they exist. No change happens in isolation. This ecological focus means more effective team-work, as well as greater co-operation between departments, functions, suppliers, and even organisations within their community. It also means that learning can be greatly enhanced by paying attention to the environment in which the learning and its application happens.

Strategically, he is now working on the concepts of "Living Organisations®", using neurological, ecological, psychological, and even theological models to propose a fresh paradigm for business vitality and longevity... making business a better place to work!

As a Consultant, he has worked with such household names as British Gas, British Telecom, Burmah Petroleum Fuels Ltd, Buzan Centres Ltd, Capita, Clarks International, The CIPD, Colgate-Palmolive, DHL, Dundee City Council, Elsevier Science, Hill Samuel Investment Group, IBM, J P Morgan, John Mowlem Construction, Price Waterhouse, Rotring UK, Royal Bank of Scotland, Royal Mail and Safeway Stores plc. Most of his time, however, is spent investing in the NHS with Trusts throughout the UK. 2003 saw an increase in his Schools Educational work, whilst in 2004 he expects to see an ever increasing fusion of soft skills with software applications to promote best practice from the best people! If there was a common theme throughout, it would be boosting the Intellectual Capital and thinking systems of all partner organisations, helping Thinking Organisations empower their human resources.

For the past four years, Lex has been the lead European Master Trainer for Buzan Centres Ltd - the company that brought us Mind Mapping. He is probably the individual most experienced in the practical application of Mind Mapping to real educational and business needs, and the pioneer of template mapping to ensure faster, more enduring results.
